Cory Lee (Pandemonium V's driver) has been drag racing since high school. He has worked for multiple professional racing teams, as a general crew person, crew chief, team manager, and finally, driver. In turn, he’s been interviewed countless times on national television, radio, in news publications, and racing magazines. Cory is an admirable ambassador of the sport he loves. Cory has supported teams including Don “Big Daddy” Garlits, John Force, Ed “The Ace” McCullach, Del Worsham, Al Hofman, Tom Hoover and Larry Minor to mention a few.

All in all, Cory Lee has tuned professional Nitro Funny Cars to 24 national event wins, 17 runners-up, and two championships. Between the end of 2003 and the early part of 2004, Cory drove two different racecars and appeared in 9 out of a possible 12 rounds of competition. As a result, he’s driven the quarter-mile in 4.8 seconds at over 320 miles per hour. He has even survived going through the lights at over 320 mph only to have the car turn into a fireball around him. Cory has proven his ability as both a driver and a corporate spokesperson. He is a true role model for youngsters thanks to his ability, determination and professionalism. He always has time for the kids and the fans, and does not leave an event until the last autograph is signed.

Many people do not know that Cory is also a drag racing historian. Some people think he was born 20 years to late. He liked the days of the sport when racers would help other racers in need and help out where needed. He seeks out the veterans of the sport and embraces their legacies.

Cory became involved in the “Pandemonium V” project through mutual friends of Greg Sullivan, owner of “Pandemonium V”. They both share the goal of “keeping the history alive” by running this original car at selected events. Their mutual professional respect has grown, and the team of Cory and Greg has truly emerged into a true friendship that evolves around putting on a great show for the fans.

Greg Sullivan (Pandemonium V's owner) comes from an aerospace background; from an arena where the goal is to “make the client successful.” His home grown client/sponsor focus has evolved to be a prototype for nostalgic drag racing teams. You will find Greg working with Cory on tuning the car, to cooking for visitors, to even working the tower to make sure we get maximum exposure possible.

We try host some nostalgic veterans at each event who help out tremendously. The “Pandemonium V” pit is so welcoming, you will never know who you will find “advanced bench racing” or “making recommendations” on how to tune the car. Don’t be surprised if asked to help out!
